I would like to personally thank Christopher Soghoian for pushing us all a step closer to National ID Cards. Now, it is clear why I would thank him, because I support National ID Cards (or at least am ambivalent towards them). What is really strange is that privacy advocates and other folks who masquerade as terrorism experts without credentials also seem to be appluading his efforts. (It’s not like we weren’t aware of the problem; it’s just another mediocre control that acts that way. Believe it or not, it still keeps a lot of people out of airports, and some of them may even have malicious intent )
