I wrote briefly about wireless security paint and recently got called by Jim Nash in InformationWeek. There story is out here. A quick clarification: I am quoted as saying that this is for people who have a "mid to high level of comfort with wireless". I don’t remember exactly what I said, but I do know what I meant – that the target market is those folks who are very concerned about security but not so much that they would ban it altogether (that is the high-end group).
I don’t know that this is unique, by the way. It strikes me that there are many different types of paint that may work just as well, but I don’t know.
Ultimately, to measure effectiveness you have to take into account how well the signal is protected and whether it will leak out windows, doors, floors, ceilings, etc.
