There was an extremely disturbing story on 20/20 tonight about managers at various fast food restaurants strip-searching employees and even customers, with many cases occurring over the past few years. It was absolutely flabbergasting to see (and hear about) these folks falling for a phone call from someone impersonating a police officer. Here’s a link to the primary case they were discussing, but there were something like 70 incidents that authorities know about. It’s one thing to be tricked into giving somebody your password, but a cavity search?!? Bizarre and sad, really.

Also, 20/20 advertised a story they are airing next week on the Nigerian email scams. They go to Nigeria, where supposedly scammers are revered. Interesting clips – I’ll be tuning in.
