The interesting thing about sender ID is that it provides some basic capabilities for a global “white list” or at least an opportunity for higher priority. Since it works by validating the source (sender) mail server, it should help prevent most spoofing. However, sometimes spoofing is ‘legitimate’ or at least intended to be non-malicious and sometimes even useful. Sender ID should provide another important measure to use in the fight against spam.
