Drivel is everywhere

In an incredibly ironic turn, Mike Rothman suggests that my security metrics slide deck is drivel because it doesn’t include case studies. Well, he’s wrong – it is drivel for lots of other reasons, but case studies were never implied nor included, nor do I believe many exist (though some do). All of this, of course, is ridiculous because the importance of doing something useful comes before lots of other folks do it, not after.

Ironic because this comment (also suggesting that either me or Andy Jaquith is a motor-mouth) comes just days after he launched… wait for it…. Security Mike’s guide to saving the universe! (or whatever the title is).

Mike – case studies are important to you (great marketing!), metrics are important to me. Please feel free to keep us all apprised on metrics around the success of your book. You go, boy!

(Btw, if any readers would like a copy of my drivel, please send me an email request.)
